New Year, New 2017 Busy B Diary.

Hey beauties, hope you are all well.

So I’ve had this post in my drafts for the last few months not realising it wasn’t open to the Public. I know its the end of April now, but I said I would still post it to let you see how beautiful this 2017 Busy B Diary is.  I suppose you can buy diaries all year around not just the start of the year like me, so here you go….

This is the first page you will see, I love the how cute and simple it is.

Next is the Personal Detail pages, Please ignore the black marks on mine as I started filling it out before I took the page.

Then its the month to month over view for 2017 and 2018.

This is your day to day pages for all your notes or appointments for that day, again I think these are super cute and love that there is lots of space.

Then at the back of the diary there is this Yearly Planner for 2018, there is actually a 2017 one at the start of the dairy too which is very handy.

Then there is 2 pages for useful websites but lets be honest we could use this for all useful information.

Next there is 2 pages for Noteable Dates which I find handy for putting things like when Car Insurance and Tax is due. Its great to have all the dates on the one page so you know what is due and when.

Next 2 pages are for Birthdays which should help not to forget all them Important Birthdays to friends and family.

The back page is this cute design again and what is very useful is this pen holder on the side .

I bought my Busy B Dairy from Meaghers Pharmacy which had a discount code to use at the time so I got it for only €7.93 incl postage.

Over all, I’m sure you can tell I’m delighted with my purchase. I love the colours, how super cute it is and the space each page gives, also that it has a softback cover which I find much easier to carry around in my bag. Its not to big and not to small. I will for sure be buying one of these Busy B Diaries again for next year.

Thank you for reading and hope you will be back again to read my future blog posts.

My #LimerickStyle Experience.

Hey Beauties, I hope your well its been a long time since I sit down here and wrote a blog post but I’m hoping to keep it up now in the new year and blog at least once a week.

Today I’m here to tell you all about my day out at the #Limerickstyle event last Friday the 9th dec 2016. So 20 top bloggers were invited to this amazing day of fun and in one of them 20 there was me, to say I was happy out to be asked is a understatement.

What the day entailed of was all of us visiting some of the beautiful boutiques in Limerick City and showcasing what Limerick has to offer which I was so proud to be part of being a proud Limerick girl myself.

We all met at 9am in The Savoy Hotel on Henry Street, for a Champagne Breakfast which was so yummy. Laura from was there to tell us how the day was going to go and the Manager of The Savoy Hotel was there to welcome us all and also had a little surprize for us which we were all shocked to here. There is a out of this world giveaway to be won, a trip to New York for 2 on your very own private Jet from Shannon. Everyone was very excited after hearing this news and we were all ready to go.

First up we all headed up to O’Donnell Boutique on Catherine Street, where we were greeted by the lovely Manager. O’Donnell Boutique was founded in 1946 by Christopher O’Donnell and has thrived ever since bringing unique national and international brands to Limerick. The boutique itself was quite big with lots of beautiful pieces that go from size 8 to 16, they also sell some stunning jewellery and have a great online store. There was giveaways in all the stores and this giveaway here was take a photo of the one item you loved the most and post it to any of our social media pages and who ever got the most likes on that photo won the that item, unfortunately that wasn’t me!

Next up was Lily Boutique on Roches Street, where we were also greeted by the Manager. Lily Boutique is the sister company to O’Donnell Boutique. They are an exclusive fashion label for the fashionistas and trend setters in Limerick. The store is very modern and bright with clothes from size 8 to 16. As part of the giveaway here we did the manikin challenge which was so much fun, we had to quickly get a piece we liked and freeze for the challenge and whoever did the best position won that piece. And again unfortunately that wasn’t me!

We then headed across the road to Ryan’s Jewellers again on Roches Street. Ryan’s Jewellers is a family-run business which opened in 1964 but is a jewellery store since 1876. This year they are celebrating 140 Years as a Jewellery Store. Acquired by Stephen Ryan over 50 years ago, it continues today to be one of the leading Jewellers in Limerick City. I was very excited to visit here as I love this Jewellers and always go there when buying jewellery. They have some amazing, beautiful pieces at very reasonable prices. The giveaway here was a stunning watch by Henry London.

It was then time to head down to Vision 2 Opticians on Henry Street. Vision 2 Opticians opened in 2002 and are is 100% Irish owned. They are dedicated to providing a quality eye care service in a friendly professional environment. This was another store that I was super excited to visit, I wear glasses so I was looking forward to seeing what they had to offer. I only wear rimless glasses and find them very hard to get at the moment but they had a good selection so I will 100% be back to purchase.

While we were at Vision 2 Opticians we had Aroi Restaurant based on O’Connell Street, delivery us our lunch which was amazing Asian Food, so yummy and again I will definitely be visiting them in the near future. The giveaway here was a fab pair of Michael Kors sunglasses.

Once we were all full and ready to go again we headed up to The Attic Bridalwear Boutique on Roches Street. The Attic Bridalwear Boutique is a new and unique Bridal Store founded by Orlaith Carroll in Jan 2015. This Boutique is a beautiful open plan, bright room with a lovely clam feel to it. There is a big selection of absolutely stunning wedding dresses to pick from and try on for all shapes and sizes. If I was to get married again in the morning this store would 100% be on top of my list to visit. The giveaway here was a 250e voucher towards a wedding dress in store.

Next up we headed down to The Ivory Closet on Shannon Street. The Ivory Closet, Born from a love of fashion shared by three Limerick sisters (Niamh, Sheila and Aine Cahill) aim to offer red carpet looks without the ginormous price tag. The Ivory Closet is a dress hire boutique with many of their labels unavailable anywhere else in Ireland. There store is just so stylish and modern, they have a massive selection of dressed to choose from and again for all shapes and sizes. The girls/sisters are so nice and so helpful, I can see why they are so successful in business. The giveaway here was a dress hire of your choice for free.

We then went off down to Hook & Ladder Café on Sarsfield Street. Hook & Ladder “Living Café” is an Irish owned family business, with locations in Limerick and Waterford. It offers customers a café, cookery school, furniture and home accessories store. Customers can relish the delicious café offerings, enhance their culinary skills in the Cookery School, buy locally sourced produce from the artisan display of furniture and accessories. We were greeted by the Manager and brought down stairs to this beautiful, cosy sitting area which was held for us and offered afternoon tea and nibbles. I have to say it really was so cosy and the food was yummy, I will for sure be going back.

After all this the last stop was up to Teds Bar & Venue on O’Connell Street. Teds Bar & Venue has newly been reborn with a difference, has undergone a complete facelift and is now under new ownership and management. We were greeted at the front door by the Manager himself where they had a red carpet out for us which I have to say made us feel super special, we then walked into a cornered off sitting area again just for us with a yum cocktails and fab goodie bags waiting for everyone on the tables. I was well impressed with how stunning the place looked. It most definitely is the new hot place to be in town. The giveaway here was a big hamper of wine, wine glasses and vouchers.

So that was it the first of many I hope of the #LimerickStyle events. I had the best day, so much fun and got to meet some lovely people and businesses in Limerick City. It was also great to finally meet and put some faces on so many fellow Bloggers I have been following for ages. We also had some great fun on the streets of Limerick when going from store to store.

I just want to say a BIG thank you to all the Businesses that took part and made this fab day happen and also to Sinead and Saibh from the Irish Bloggers Agency that invited me along today.

Thank you for reading and hope you will be back again to read my future blog posts.

Catherine- UV Nail Polish

Catherine- UV Nail Polish

Catherina UV Nail Polish-Babyblue

So here I have a beautiful baby blue coloured Gel polish which I’m in love with, it is that prefect Cinderella blue, so pretty!

Nails done with Catherina UV Nail Polish-Babyblue

I have applied it to the natural nails as a 14 day gel manicure (shellac). After cleansing the nail of all the natural oils, I applied a base coat, 2 layers of this baby blue gel polish and then I finished with a layer of top coat. I was really impressed with how the gel applied, it was really smooth and creamy, the pigment was amazing after one layer I could have stopped it was that pigmented. Also there was absolutely no streaks.

The customer came back to me after 19 days and the nails were still prefect, apart from the normal regrowth and a chip on the index finger and thumb.

This gel polish can be use with a UV lamp as well as a LED lamp. You will get 4.5ml of product and you can buy it from here.

Thank you for reading and hope you will be back again to read my future blog posts.

I write reviews for Your Nail Magazine, this review was originally wrote for Sept 2015 Edition. I was gifted this polish but this review is my honest opinion on this product.

Glitter Express Polish-Blue Indigo

Glitter Express Polish- Blue Indigo

Glitter Express Nail Poish- Blue Indigo

This is quite a unique and interesting shade, the main colour is blue with a tint of pink which is all based in a clear polish. In the sun it is so sparkly, when I first saw this polish I was like a magpie, my eyes lit up like a child. I love anything with a bit of bling.

Glitter Express Nail Poish- Blue Indigo

I put on 2 coats of polish on over a base colour then a layer of top coat over that.

Here it is over a pink base Nail done with Glitter Express- Blue Indigo

and here is it over a aqua base Nail done with Glitter Express- Blue Indigo

It did take a while to dry but that is normal with the glitter polish because you put on a few layers it takes a bit longer to dry, also the brush was so easy to work with. I was really impressed with how long it lasted, I had it on nearly 2 weeks and it was still prefect. Taken it off was a bit of a pain though but again that is normal with glitter polish. One tip I could give to you to remove it, is to soak a pad in polish remover and press down on your nail for 60 seconds and you will see it just slide away.

Glitter Express Nail Poish- Blue Indigo

You can order these polishes from you will get 11ml of product for £3.50 which works out to be €4.85.

Thank you for reading and hope you will be back again to read my future blog posts.

Provoc Manikit hand glove.

Provoc Manikit hand glove

Provoc Manikit hand glove

Hey beauties, hope you are all well.

Today’s blog post is all about the Provoc Manikit hand glove. Provoc Manikit is a hand glove that contains rich emollient moisture treatments, rose flower, shea butter, collagen and vitamin E which helps treat rough, dry and chapped hands and deeply penetrate with nutrients and moisturise immediately.

Each manikit pack contains one set of hand gloves which is for one use only and needs to be used once opened or they will dry out. Provoc Manikits are also cruelty free.

How to use:

1. Wash and disinfect hands,

2. Remove any nail polish from first hand,

3. File and shape your nails,

4. Put the glove on one hand,

5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 on second hand,

6. Remove precut finger tips after 5 to 10 minutes,

7. Work on manicure service,

8. Remove glove and massage remaining cream into hand,

9. Degrease the nails before painting,

10. Repeat steps 6 to 9 on second hand.

I had the gloves on for about 25 to 30 minutes in total, they smells so nice and they left my hands feeling so soft and looking so healthy afterwards. I would recommend this to everyone and in my opinion it is a beautiful addition to a manicure. Provoc also have a pedikit which after been so impressed with this I will definitely be buying. They are available from Here I know you can get cheaper but I think they are worth the money, saying that I haven’t tried the cheaper ones.

Change a Life Program with Destination Motivation

Change a Life Program

Hey Beauties, hope you are all well. Today’s blog is about my journey to loose weight and a full week to week diary of how I did on the change a life program I did. If this is of any interest to you then keep on reading. x

I have been debating whether I should blog about my journey on the Change a Life Program (CAL) I’m doing with Destination Motivation and I just decided why not I should’t be embarrassed or ashamed of who I am. Anyone that knows me knows I’m a big girl and I’ve struggled all my life with my weight. Destination Motivation who I followed on Facebook for their excellent 6 week boot camps that they do every 6 weeks and I always looked at them saying I really should join them but always bottled out. When they put up a competition on their Facebook page saying they were going to train 10 people for free for 12 weeks on their second Change a Life Program I took that as my opportunity and decided to apply. The second I pressed send I automatically wanted to take it back though, I was scared as to what was to come with it and was I ready to change my life for real this time but I just told myself if I got through then its meant to be. I got down to the final 13 who had to train for a week to prove we wanted this and prove we had what it took to change our life’s. So on the 23rd of Feb 2015 I started this Journey but Barry the owner was going to pick 8 out of the 13 to keep on which meant I really had to work my ass off.  After the first week was over we all did so well they decided to keep us all but made it clear that at any time if they felt we weren’t giving our all they would have no problem getting rid of us. Now that I was picked and in the Change of Life Program I was giving a contract to sign saying I wouldn’t drink and would follow everything they told us to do and got my “before picture” taken. I was to train for an hour Monday to Friday from 11 to 12 but on Wednesday we get weighed in, had a talk on different topics each week and were given a new weekly challenge.

Before CAL

Our First Day!

Week 1- (the trial week) 23th Feb  This is the week I have to prove I want this. I found training really hard and even at a few times questioned was I able for this but I just took one day at a time. I was put on the Paleo diet which I found hard there was no carbs and I love my carbs. I lost 3.96lbs, challenge this week is we had to take a picture of everything we eat and post on our Facebook group page at the end of the day.

Week 2- (the first week) 2th Mar  Every single part of my body hurts this week, training is not getting any easier. I started on the 1000 calories diet this week which I find good its nice to have the bit or carbs again. I lost 2.86lbs, challenge this week is we had to aim to loose at least 4lbs by next weigh in. We also lost a member of the group this week due to illness.

Daily Foods

Daily Food

Week 3- 9th Mar  Training is getting harder and harder as the weeks are going by and I’m so tired all the time. I’m finding all the prep work for the food is starting to take up a lot of my time. I only lost 2.2lbs which I wasn’t happy about I really wants to met the challenge of 4lbs. Challenge this week is if we maintain weight or put weight on we will be out of training for one week.

Week 4- 16th Mar  We started to do more running this week which I was finding really hard because my ankle was a little sore and got worse as the week went on, I had to ask the lads could I just do more weights for the week. We got a personalised food plans this week and I lost 1.76lbs, challenge this week is only to drink water, no bread and also back to putting pictures up of everything we eat on our Facebook group page at the end of the day. We also loss another member this week.

Week 5- 23th Mar  I was really tired all the time no matter how much sleep I was getting at night (which wasn’t much maybe 5 hours) I was still tired. I was still in a lot of pain with my ankle but I was just trying to ignore it (I know not a good idea in the end) and push on as normal but because of the pain I was finding it harder to handle and by the end of the week I just wanted to give up and leave. All that was going around in my head was I wasn’t cut of for this hard core training and my body wasn’t able for it, but I’m so stubborn thank god. I lost 1.76lbs, challenge this week is we had to loose at least 3lbs or we were out of training for one week. We also lost another member this week.

Week 6- 30th Mar  I went training on the Monday and had a appointment with the doctor for afterwards because my ankle was killing me at this stage and wasn’t getting any better and of course the doctor sent me for an x-ray which showed I had chipped the ankle bone and had to be put in a cast I was so angry and annoyed I didn’t want to give up training because of this and was worried the lads in destination motivation wouldn’t let me train going forward but all was good they had no problem as long as I got a boot for my ankle and was ok to train. I was in the cast for the whole week and couldn’t move so I wasn’t training but on Friday I got the boot and was due back Monday and couldn’t wait.

Broken Ankle in Cast Broken Ankle In Boot

Week 7- 6th Apr  I was delighted to be back training even though I could only do weights and light cardio I didn’t care I was happy to be back. This is the start of the half way point and we got our measurements taken and new body pictures. I’m starting to like cooking my own homemade foods from scratch like soups and curry now which I never really did before I always just got the packets or take away. I lost 4.12lbs, challenge this week is to run the block in under 5mins (the block is a little over half a mile).

Homemade Veg SoupHomemade Curry

Week 8- 13th Apr  I was getting a little annoyed at this stage with my ankle and the boot I felt I couldn’t do all the cardio that the others were doing it was so frustrating. We did go to the local park on the Friday though to train and the weather was loving, it was just so nice to do something different. I lost 1.32lbs, challenge this week is we had to do vlogs each night on how we felt that day. None of us were very happy about this challenge and didn’t want to do it. For me it was because I wouldn’t exactly have alot of confidence in how I look at the moment and the thoughts of having to do a video for everyone to see was my worse nightmare but I had to suck it up and do it. Also outside of CAL I went to my first ever cookery class with Gasta and learnt so much I love it and will defiantly be going back to do more.

Week 9- 20th Apr  Training was hard and emotional this week thank god there was no more vlogs but we had to read out our emails that we sent in to apply for the change a life program on the Wednesday after weigh in but on the Thursday I got my boot off (woohoo). We got to go training in st. Francis Boxing club which was so so hard but good at the same time and on the Friday we went to the high altitude room in Delta to have a spinning and cardio class I was really nervous I wouldn’t be able to breath in this class but it was actually brilliant and I loved it. I lost 1.76lbs, and there was no challenge this week. Also this week outside of CAL I did my first ever 3km UV run(which I walked but did 4km) I went with my sister and 2 friends I loved it and was delighted with myself I have never walked that kind of distance before in my life.

Boxing in St. Francis

UV Run 2015

Week 10- 27th Apr   I found this week to be the hardest week yet, my ankle was so sore still and really weak so couldn’t do a whole lot and only lost .22lbs, I wasn’t happy at all and the lads weren’t either they took me aside for a chat to see what was wrong and why I didn’t loose much. I didn’t know what to say to them I was doing everything the same and nothing had changed apart from that I was so tired and exhausted. After a long chat Martin came to the conclusion that I wasn’t eating enough and I was working out to much, that some people are just different to others and its not good for them to work out 5 to 6 times a week. So I was to up my calories to 1250 and only train 2 days the following week to see if I get better results. Challenge this week is to send a picture of every single thing I eat to Martin.

Week 11- 4th May  This week we had to train with the other groups that are doing the 6 week boot camps to see how we get on out on our own also only training 2 days this week was hard because in my head I have always thought to loose weight you have to train more and eat less but I’m been told to do different which I’m still getting my head around, but it definitely worked because I lost the most I have ever lost 5.28lbs I was delighted. Also this week we all came together and bonded as a group which was really nice as one of our members left, we decided we weren’t having that and arrived at her house to tell her get her ass ready she was coming back with us. A bit of Girl Power!!! Challenge this week is to loose 2lbs or no training for our last week.

Week 12- 11th May  After last weeks results I was to stick with only 2 days training again but it didn’t work as much I only lost .1lbs I was so upset, confused and worried because the challenge was to loose 2lbs or no training for my last week but after a long talk the lads decided I was ok to train and to come in for 3 days training not 2. No challenge this week.

Week 13- (the last week) 18th May  This week was so busy and training was so hard the lads pushed us to our limits totally but we got through it. We got weighed in, measurements done and “the after” picture taken on the Friday as we were having a big reveal that night where family and friends came so we only found out that night what we lost that week then onto a serious night out. I lost 3.3lbs.

Last training day

Our last workout!

Ready for out CAL night out

All ready for our night out.

So all in all I lost 26.8lbs (1.2lbs short of 2 stone) and 22.5 Inches off my overall body. My goal was 2 stone but I am happy with how I did considering I broke my ankle. I wont be stopping here though I have a long way to go yet. I will be joining the 6 week boot camps in Destination Motivation and probably be going to them for the rest of my life if I’m honest. I know alot of the week to week views sounded like I hated it and I was been negative but that was just my honest feelings at the time. Looking back on everything now though I loved every minute of it and would do it all again in the morning.

I would just like to thank Barry the owner of Destination Motivation and the 2 lads Martin and Johnny. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity and believing in me to do the change a life program. To say its changed my life is an understatement. I’m a totally different girl to the one that walked in them doors on the 23rd of Feb maybe not so much physical just yet but definitely mentally.

Thank you for reading and hope you will be back again to read my future blog posts.
